Wallpapers - February 2026
Welcome to February 2026!
If you're new here, welcome to our monthly wallpapers!
February may be the shortest month of the year, but we think it still deserves a little love. With Valentine’s Day in mind, this month’s wallpapers take inspiration from Europe’s many connections to the idea of the heart — whether through language, geography, symbolism or even shape.
Whether you are celebrating Valentine’s Day, Galentine’s Day or simply taking a moment for self-care, we hope you enjoy our “heartfelt” images (sorry!).
We hope you enjoy this month's wallpapers. Right click on the images below and select "save as..." to download your choice - all with the handy monthly calendar!
Wallpaper number 1 shows off the Harz Mountains, which sit at the geographical heart of Germany and are rich in folklore, medieval towns and natural history. This region offers a different perspective on Europe beyond capital cities, for those interested in geography, legends and regional identity.
Wallpaper number 2 - Meaning “Sacred Heart”, the Sacré-Cœur basilica overlooks Paris from the hill of Montmartre and is one of the city’s most recognisable landmarks. Construction began in 1875 with the basilica officially consecrated in 1919 and its striking white domes and prominent position make it a powerful symbol of France’s religious, political and social history. It also offers incredible views of the Paris skyline.
Wallpaper number 3 takes us to Austria. The town of Hartberg literally carries the word heart in its name and sits within Austria’s historic Styria region. One of Austria’s oldest settlements, the town has been inhabited for over 6,000 years, with layers of Celtic, Roman and medieval history visible in its compact centre. It’s a reminder that Europe’s story is shaped just as much by smaller towns as by its capital cities.
And, in this month’s bonus wallpaper, we travel to the island of Galešnjak, in Croatia. Often called the “Island of Love”, Galešnjak is naturally heart-shaped and has become one of Europe’s most unusual geographical landmarks.
