Wallpaper number 2 - Nestled in Spain’s Basque Country on the northern coast, San Sebastián is famed for its crescent beaches and culinary culture. It’s a perfect case study in regional identity, offering visitors a chance to explore the Basque language and traditions alongside geography and coastal sustainability. The old town (Parte Vieja) offers walking tours with a strong historical context tied to local resilience and identity.
Wallpaper number 3 - The five picturesque villages of Cinque Terre cling to rugged cliffs along the Ligurian coast of Italy. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is ideal for discussing sustainable tourism, conservation efforts and the challenges of preserving heritage in popular destinations. The vibrant houses and terraced vineyards make for unforgettable scenery and discussions around human-environment interaction.

And, in this month’s bonus wallpaper, we travel to the Northern coast of France. Etretat’s dramatic chalk cliffs on Normandy’s coast are both a geological wonder and a cultural icon. They’ve inspired countless artists and provide a brilliant natural classroom for Earth science and art fans alike. The town also offers insights into World War II history and coastal resilience.
