Travel Update – ETA becomes fully operational for the UK

Although travellers to the UK have needed to apply for an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) for some months now, there has been a grace period as the new system has come into force. 

However, from 25 February 2026, it will be strictly enforced. For those eligible, if they don't have an ETA, they will not be able to board their transport or legally travel to the UK.
