Happy 18th birthday to us!

Today we celebrate 18 years since founding Live Travel and Tours, back on 10 July 2008. Our "baby" is now officially an adult and, just as with our own actual children, that time has gone by in a flash. It has been an incredible journey to reach this stage. Launching in the middle of the global financial crisis, and going through turbulent political times, wars, a pandemic and its equally challenging recovery over the intervening years has meant that we have never had a quiet moment!

The experience has, however, been so much more than just the challenges. Both Kate and I have grown in ways we never could have imagined. We are lucky enough to have travelled the world with the business, met incredible people (many of whom are now old friends), contributed to the growth of our industry globally, and worked with some amazing colleagues. We have had thousands of people travel on our tours and perform at our music festival, and we are humbled to have contributed in some way to the life-changing experiences they have had. 

This image is from one of the top moments from those 18 years, on 28 July 2012 - the moment that one of our groups opened the Olympic Park at the start of Day 2 of the London 2012 Olympics. 

We can't wait to see what the future holds for our now grown-up company. Thank you so much to all who have helped us along the way!
